Singapore GP: Ferrari goes aggressive with F1 tyre selection
Defending Singapore Grand Prix winner Ferrari has opted for the most-aggressive tyre strategy of Formula 1's front-runners for this year's race
Sebastian Vettel claimed his third and ultimately final victory of the 2015 F1 season at Singapore, and was joined on the podium by team-mate Kimi Raikkonen, who finished third.
With the ultra-soft available for the first time at the Marina Bay street circuit, Vettel and Raikkonen will each have nine sets of ultra-softs.
Vettel has then gone for two sets of each of the super-softs and softs, while Raikkonen has decided on one set of softs and three super-softs.
Haas pair Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez, and Sauber's Marcus Ericsson, are the only other drivers to choose nine sets of ultra-softs.
The race has a spread of selections across teams, and also within most teams.
Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have opted for only seven sets of the ultra-soft compound apiece.
However, after struggling to get super-soft tyres working last year, they have then gone for slightly different strategies, with Rosberg choosing two sets of that rubber and four softs, with Hamilton going for three of each.
Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen have also selected seven sets of ultra-softs, with two softs and four super-softs.
Williams pair Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa will have eight ultra-softs each, but with the Finn going for two sets of softs and three super-softs, and the retirement-bound Brazilian opting for one set of soft and four super-soft.
Force India and Manor have chosen the fewest number of ultra-softs - just six for each of their drivers.
Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg, however, have four sets of softs - the highest number of any driver along with Rosberg - and three super-softs.
Manor pair Pascal Wehrlein and Esteban Ocon are the reverse, with three sets of softs and four super-softs.
