Schumacher is test king

Michael Schumacher ended the day's testing at Barcelona on top, with team mate Rubens Barrichello second, but once again nearly a second behind

The German continues his dominant run in testing, having been fastest overall this morning and yesterday, and having blitzed the Silverstone test last week.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen was third, but reliability worries remain, as the German was only able to complete 43 laps - less than half what both of the Ferraris were able to run.

Coulthard was the top McLaren in fourth place, and completed 107 laps - a total second only to Arrows' Pedro de la Rosa on 110 - suggesting that McLaren's early season reliability worries are well and truly in the past.

Johnny Herbert was next up, around a second slower than Schumacher, but only half a second off the second place man. He also put in a promising 88 laps.

Arrows driver De La Rosa was next in line, followed by McLaren tester Panis, and Benetton drivers Wurz and Fisichella.

Jaguar test driver Burti did not improve on the 5 laps he had completed in the morning.
