Schumacher tops Spain times
Ferrari was once again fastest at the end of the morning of the third day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya, ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix
Michael Schumacher, fastest at the end of day two, was also fastest this morning, followed by his team mate Rubens Barrichello, although the Brazilian was more than a second behind. The superb testing form of Arrows continued as Pedro de la Rosa circulated his home track third overall, with a time of 1m22.134s.
Arrows are steadily getting on top of the problems that beset them early in the test, after working mainly on reliability yesterday.
Test driver Olivier Panis set the standard for McLaren, being placed fourth overall, two places above works driver David Coulthard. Johnny Herbert was next up, giving some confidence to the Jaguar team over improvements to pace and reliability, though test driver Luciano Burti only completed 5 laps and was last overall.
