More strife for Schumacher

Michael Schumacher is being treated for two other injuries as well as his

broken leg, Ferrari has revealed.
The double champion, who broke both bones in his lower leg when he crashed
on the first lap of the British Grand Prix, also damaged a toe and his
heel.

'He has a little damage to his toe and on the rear part of the foot but it is
nothing serious. The major thing is the broken leg,' said team boss Jean
Todt.

Crucially the team chief said that physios were having to work on returning sensitivity in Schumacher injured foot. As it is the accelerator foot which is damaged, this could be a major problem.

Todt would not comment on whether Schumacher would be able to meet the original
eight week deadline for his comeback or the 12 week one set more recently by surgeons.

'He will come back when the doctors feel he is ready and when he feels he is
ready. Possibly it will be before the end of the season but I am not going
to speculate on that.'

'He left the clinic to go home on Sunday morning and immediately started his
rehabilitation,' said Todt.
