'Benetton will bounce back' -Wurz

Benetton have tracked down the reason for their deteriorating performances,

according to Alex Wurz.
'We have been on the way to discovering the problem for the past few weeks
and now I think we have really found it,' said the 25-year-old Austrian.

'We are working hard to find a complete solution and maybe by
Budapest our car will be working as well as it already does on the low
downforce circuits like Canada, Hockenheim and Monza.'

The Austrian, racing at his home Grand Prix this weekend, has scored just
one point in the first eight races, while his team mate Giancarlo Fisichella has
been in the points four times. The team languish in a distant 5th place in the Constructors' Championship and have looked uncompetitive at most circuits this year.

Wurz, said to be on Ferrari's shortlist to replace Eddie Irvine next year,
has sought reassurances that Benetton's form will pick up next year. At Silverstone two weeks ago, the team recorded their worst ever qualifying performance, starting 17th and 18th.

'I am in conversation with the team about the future. These are normal
things that any driver would ask about and it is things other people inside
the team want to know too,' said Wurz.

'We are not in the place where we should be or where we want to be. We want
to be much closer to the top of the grid.'

But Wurz says there is unlikely to be much for his fans to cheer about this
weekend.

'I am looking forward to this race but, honestly, this is not the type of
circuit that suits our car,' he said

'I expect we will look much more competitive in Germany than here because
our low downforce aerodynamic package works extremely well.

'Here we are using the same sort of aerodynamic package as we used in
Silverstone and Magny-Cours, where we were struggling.

'There is no question about my motivation though. Formula One was my dream and I am still having great fun.'
