Schumacher Jr Fastest on Last Day of Monza Testing

Ralf Schumacher topped the times sheet on the fourth and final day of testing at the Monza circuit, boosting the hopes of the Williams-BMW team.

The young German was the fourth different driver to be on top in as many days of testing at the revised Italian circuit.

Rubens Barrichello was able to finally give the tifosi something to cheer for by setting the second fastest time in his Ferrari, while teammate Michael Schumacher was only eighth after completing a race distance.

The powerful Honda engines were once again close to the top of the list, with Jordan's Jarno Trulli in third position.

Arrows driver Pedro de la Rosa was fourth despite suffering a big crash on the Curva Grande turn after running off track.

Due to de la Rosa's accident, the session ended eighteen minutes before its scheduled time.

Unlike the previous two days, today's session was not affected by rain and the teams completed their preparation programs for next week's Italian Grand Prix.
