Barrichello takes on Senna's mantle
Ferrari-bound Rubens Barrichello says his move to the Italian marque will enable him to live up to the reputation of countryman Ayrton Senna
The 27-year-old Stewart-Ford driver admits he found it difficult being thrust into the spotlight by Brazilian fans - after his hero Ayrton Senna was killed at the San Marino Grand Prix five years ago.
'After the death of Ayrton in 1994 there was a lot of pressure on my shoulders,' said Barrichello.
'I was thrust into the position of the number one driver in my country and I found it hard to cope.
'I struggled for a while before I moved to Stewart, but I hope I can now finally live up to that reputation.
'Most drivers dream about driving for Ferrari with their long tradition in Formula One. They are the most prestigious and well-known team in the sport.
'They have the best cars and there is no doubt that when I drive for them next season, I'll be in one of those cars challenging for the title.'
