Villeneuve set to follow Pollock out
Jacques Villenueve could turn his back his back on British American Racing, if team boss Craig Pollock loses his job
The BAR team has failed to score a point in its debut year in Formula One, and there are rumours Pollock - a close friend of the 1997 world champion - could be ousted from the team.
According to newspaper reports, BAR vice-chairman Adrian Reynard said, 'We're clearly very unhappy with the results this year.
'The directors want to see changes in the team from top to the bottom, so that we can improve our performances and prove to Honda that we're a credible team.'
Villeneuve has already stated that he will quit if Pollock is ousted from the team.
In September, he told AUTOSPORT: 'If Craig leaves, I go with him.'
The French-Canadian, believed to be earning £7.5 million with the Northamptonshire-based team, reportedly told newspapers that Pollock is the reason he is driving for the outfit.
'A big reason for me joining the team was because Craig was instigating it. So he's a key element for me remaining in the team.'
