Edwards unhappy after first lap exit
Yamaha's Colin Edwards criticised Olivier Jacque after the Frenchman caused the four-bike pile-up that removed Edwards from the Turkish Grand Prix
Jacque out-braked himself into the final complex at the end of the opening lap and collided with both Edwards and Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa, the latter then collecting Chris Vermeulen.
Edwards believes that the incident started when his teammate Valentino Rossi ran wide at the fast Turn 11 and then rejoined in front of the pack.
"I have not had a really good chance to look at it," Edwards told BBC television.
"Valentino ran off track and everyone thought they were going to outbrake him.
"I braked at the normal spot and everybody went wide. I just lined everyone up and was going underneath and I guess brakes don't exist for the guys behind me.
"I am disappointed for sure. I was hoping for a good result, and I didn't plan to crash for sure."
Jacque was taken to hospital for precautionary checks having received blows to the head and coccyx in the incident, while Pedrosa visited the medical centre having reported some pain in his chest.
Vermeulen was able to rejoin and finished 11th.
