Zaugg takes Brno sprint pole

Adrian Zaugg kept up his 100 percent pole record for season three of A1GP by setting a stunning pace in qualifying for the Brno sprint race

The South African set a new track record for A1GP cars at the Czech circuit, with a great lap of 1:44.859, although there remains a doubt as to whether the time will stand as it was set while yellow flags waved at the final corner after Jeroen Bleekemolen had spun.

The same applies to New Zealand's Jonny Reid, who set what was the fastest lap at the time, just moments before Zaugg completed his lap.

Great Britain's Robbie Kerr did a good job to set the third fastest lap, and he will be joined on the second row by Adam Carroll for Team Ireland.

Bleekemolen, who was second fastest in the first session in the Dutch car, slipped to fifth after his spin. Neel Jani was sixth for the Swiss, ahead of reigning champions Team Germany and Christian Vietoris.

Portugal and Joao Urbano were an impressive eighth ahead of Sergio Jimenez (Brazil) and Nicolas Lapierre (France).
