Kimball Wins Silverstone Race 1

It was business as usual for Carlin Motorsport at Silvertone today, with Charlie Kimball taking his expected victory from pole position. The American completed the race totally unopposed

The rest of the top three stayed unchanged all race long as well, with Danilo Dirani spending most of the morning defending second from Dan Clarke. But despite the opportunity of a late safety car restart, the Double R driver could not get past.

Marko Asmer did gain a place on the restart, taking fourth from Mike Conway, who had held the spot throughout. Christian Bakkerud came home sixth.

Salvador Duran sealed the National Class title despite finishing behind his only challenger, Barton Mawer. With just one race to go, the Australian did not take enough points off the Mexican to take the battle down to the wire.
