Kennard completes Double R line-up
British Formula Three champions Double R Racing have completed their 2007 driver line-up with the signing of Jonathan Kennard
The 2004 Formula Palmer Audi champion will join Stephen Jelley and Atte Mustonen as the outfit attempts to retain the title they won with Mike Conway in 2006.
Kennard, who finished 12th in the standings with Alan Docking Racing last year, said: "I enjoyed a very successful test prior to Macau with Double R, proving that I have the outright speed to challenge for the title.
"My 2006 season with ADR taught me a huge amount and I am thankful to Alan and his team for all they have done for me."
Jelley returns for a fourth year of British F3 and a second year at the team, while Formula Renault graduate Mustonen has been quick in testing.
Team boss Anthony Hieatt told autosport.com: "When Jonathan tested for us at Pembrey he went faster than we've ever been there before. That made the decision easy for us.
"We are fairly happy with our drivers for this year. Last year is a difficult act to follow, but we know what these guys are capable of."
After winning the British F3 title in only their second year of racing, Double R then won the prestigious Macau Grand Prix with Conway in November.
