Valtteri Bottas will wait to decide 2016 F1 plan amid Ferrari link

The Finn is one of the drivers at the centre of the 2016 driver market, and there has been speculation he could be on his way to Ferrari next year to replace Kimi Raikkonen.

Speaking to the media ahead of this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, Bottas said he had nothing to add on the conjecture surrounding his F1 future.

"Obviously there are a lot of rumours," he said. "For me there is nothing new to tell you since I was asked last time.

"Of course as a driver you want to know as soon as possible, but sometimes you need to wait.

"It doesn't really change anything. No matter if I'm going to start some other [driver] transfers or not."

When asked if he expects to be a Williams driver next year, he added: "I don't know. Nothing is confirmed."

Bottas, who was groomed for F1 by Williams and has not driven for another team so far in his career, said he believes in the squad, even if the first half of 2015 has not quite met expectations.

"Everyone at Williams was hoping for a bit of a step again this season, but the performance has been more or less the same as last year at this point," he said.

"During the season we've improved all the time, so next year's car could be better, but it's too early to say.

"I believe in the future of Williams, it's a good team and has been at the top many times.

"Like I've said before I have no confirmation if I'm going to be a part of that or not."

Team-mate Felipe Massa said he wants to stay with Williams for a third season.

"I hope so - at the moment, I don't see why I should not be here," the Brazilian said when asked if he will stay with the team.

"I'm really enjoying working with the team, and they are respecting me 100 per cent.

"We are still growing, getting stronger most of the time. I want to drive for Williams next year."
