World Champion Michael Schumacher will see out the remainder of his Formula One career with Ferrari, the German said in an interview with Auto, Motor and Sport.
Schumacher, who has been with the Italian team for eight years, said Ferrari will be the only team for him. "I don't want to waste any more time thinking about it," Schumacher said. "My days as a racing driver will end at Ferrari."
Key to his decision was the skill and committment of the Italian team, and the Champion was full of praise for the engineering team at Maranello who have helped him to achieve his success.
"The men here worked day and night, seven days a week," he added. "That's the real achievement, especially over such a long period of time."
But the German also took the chance to highlight the role played by his wife Corinna in his career claiming that her support and encouragement has been an important factor.
"Corinna gives me such sense of peace, such strength, everything one could ask for from a partner," he claimed. "I owe everything to her."
