Ralf Looking Forward to Suzuka Challenge

Ralf Schumacher has made a dash from his wedding altar to the Japanese circuit of Suzuka as he bids to end his impressive season with Williams with a fourth win of the campaign.

Ralf Schumacher has made a dash from his wedding altar to the Japanese circuit of Suzuka as he bids to end his impressive season with Williams with a fourth win of the campaign.

German Schumacher married his pregnant girlfriend Cora Brinkmann on Friday and immediately turned his attentions to the final round of the championship in Japan this weekend.

"Suzuka is my favourite circuit on the race calendar and it is one of the most difficult," said Schumacher. "It is not easy to be quick here as you have to know the track very well. It is also very positive that the safety has improved for this year.

"The only downside is that it is difficult to overtake and there is only really one place where it is possible."

For Schumacher's teammate Juan Pablo Montoya it will be his first race at Suzuka and if he secures a dream win and McLaren's Mika Hakkinen fails to score a point he will rise to fifth in the Drivers' Championship.

"Suzuka is somewhere I am really looking forward to going as I have been told it is a proper racing circuit," Montoya said. "A great track with great corners. I am just hoping we can get a good result there."
