Montoya Looking for 'Special' Indy Win

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya is hoping for a "special" win on 'home' ground at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at this weekend's United States Grand Prix.

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya is hoping for a "special" win on 'home' ground at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at this weekend's United States Grand Prix.

Montoya, who has not scored any victories this year despite seven pole positions, could become the first man to win at the speedway in both Formula One and the US-based Champ Car series if he and his Williams team can manage to beat their dominant rivals Ferrari.

The Colombian won the Indy 500 at the famous 'Brickyard' in 2000 when he was running as the reigning Champ Car champion, but he lost a golden opportunity to win in Formula One last year.

He failed to take victory last year when his car broke down, but he believes his 'home' support can power him on this weekend.

"It has always been very good for me here," said Montoya today at Indianapolis. "I have all the fans behind me and there are a lot of Colombians coming here. It is nice to win everywhere but here would be a bit special."

But Ferrari rival Rubens Barrichello, who has virtually secured second place in the Drivers' Championship, insisted he is going to use his own Brazilian fans to boost him during the weekend.

"I will be looking for a win here more than being conservative and looking for points," said Barrichello. "The USA is a great place to come, I like the circuit, and we have a lot of Brazilians here as well as Colombians."
