Jordan Determined to Keep on Fighting

Eddie Jordan and his team vowed to keep on fighting after yet another dismal weekend in Spain, where the Silverstone-based squad left with nothing to show for once more.

Eddie Jordan and his team vowed to keep on fighting after yet another dismal weekend in Spain, where the Silverstone-based squad left with nothing to show for once more.

The Honda-powered team, still point-less after the first five races of the year, suffered two more retirements at Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix, continuing with a season full of reliability problems.

But despite their struggle, Jordan, who underwent a major reshuffle last week, are determined to keep on fighting.

"It's been a hard week for the team with all the changes we announced," said team boss Jordan, "but I sense that everyone is more determined than ever to bring the team back to where it should be and today's result will only make us even more steely and committed."

Italian Giancarlo Fisichella retired from the race on lap six with a mechanical problem, while teammate Takuma Sato went off the track only five laps later.

"I need to find out more about what happened today," added Jordan. "It seems we had a hydraulic problem on Giancarlo's car which we need to investigate and resolve. Taku may have made a mistake or perhaps the car had a problem, but difficult to say until we have a chance to talk to him properly.
