German driver Timo Glock will drive a Formula One car for the first time tomorrow when he tests for the Jordan-Ford team on the first day of the team's four-day session at Barcelona.
"I am proud to be invited to do a test with Jordan Ford as it has been my biggest dream to drive in Formula One," said Glock. "I am quite nervous but as always I will do my job to my best ability and as soon as I sit in the car I will be ready."
21-year old Glock, who was at the team's Silverstone's factory back in November for a seat fitting, finished fifth in the new Formula Three Euro Series Championship last year. Jordan are still to name their drivers for the 2004 season.
"Timo Glock is probably the most promising young driving talent in Germany at the moment and I'm delighted that we are able to offer him his first F1 test," said team principal Eddie Jordan.
"He's come up through the junior categories quickly and with good results so I'm optimistic that he will be very significant in the future of German motorsport."
Jordan have yet to say who will be testing for them on Thursday or Friday amid speculation that one of their race drivers, possibly Jos Verstappen, could be announced before then to fill the slot.
