Glock lands Jordan test

German F3 Euroseries racer Timo Glock will test for the Jordan Formula 1 squad during this week's test at Barcelona.

Glock will run for Jordan at the Spanish circuit tomorrow (Tuesday), when the team will begin a four-day test. Belgian Bas Leinders will run for the team on Wednesday. Jordan has yet to confirm either of its two race drivers for this season.

"I am proud to be invited to do a test with Jordan Ford as it has been my biggest dream to drive in Formula 1," said Glock. "I am quite nervous but as always I will do my job to my best ability and as soon as I sit in the car I will be ready."

Team boss Eddie Jordan said: "Timo Glock is probably the most promising young driver in Germany at the moment and I'm delighted that we are able to offer him his first F1 test. He's come up through the junior categories quickly and with good results so I'm optimistic that he will be very significant in the future of German motorsport."

Driving for the KMS Opel squad, Glock finished fifth in this year's Euroseries standings, taking three race wins.
