Ferrari has been busy this week, testing at its tracks at Fiorano and Mugello.

On Monday, Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer did 77 laps of Fiorano, testing new components for the F1-2000, with a fastest time of 1:02.208. He continued this testing at Fiorano on Tuesday, covering 139 laps with a best time of 1:01.717. Badoer also completed 14 practice starts.

Also on Tuesday, Rubens Barrichello was at Mugello working on set-up and aerodynamics for the upcoming German Grand Prix. He completed 56 laps of the circuit with a fastest lap time of 1:27.353.

Yesterday, Badoer tested for a third consecutive day at Fiorano, completing 88 laps and 11 practice starts as he continued development work for this year's car, setting a best time of 1:01.466.

Barrichello also continued his testing at Mugello yesterday, continuing work on aerodynamics and handling set-ups for Hockenheim, as well as completing some tyre testing. He did however suffer an engine problem, with the Ferrari engineers deciding to replace the engine. Barrichello set a fastest time of 1:24.643 during his 61 laps. This was faster than Minardi's Marc Gene, who completed 74 laps of Mugello with a best of 1:28.368, and Prost's Nick Heidfeld who set a fastest time of 1:28.949 during his 78 laps of the Mugello track.

Today, Michael Schumacher will be at Fiorano, while Barrichello will continue at Mugello.
