The Spaniard, who signed as test driver for Prost before moving to Jaguar in controversial circumstances, completed 121 laps of the Northamptonshire circuit and topped the times on Friday.
"I like to have a lot of grip at the front," explained de la Rosa after his final day's testing. "We've focused on testing different front aerodynamic set-ups, and finally we have managed to adapt the car to my driving style."
What did please Jaguar's new tester was the rapid improvements he found throughout the test, and he added: "The more kilometers I have done the better it has been for everyone.
"In these last three days we've seen rain and sunny days because of the changeable weather conditions I've been able to test the three different Michelin tyres."
De la Rosa's next test will be at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, after next week's Malaysian Grand Prix.
