Head: Williams Working Hard to Help Montoya

Williams-BMW technical director Patrick Head has said the team are looking to solve Juan Pablo Montoya's problems and give him the chance of challenging for the title.

Williams-BMW technical director Patrick Head has said the team are looking to solve Juan Pablo Montoya's problems and give him the chance of challenging for the title.

Montoya has reportedly become frustrated after being outperformed by teammate Ralf Schumacher, who has won two of the last three races, and a new engineer was assigned to work alongside Montoya.

Head admitted that Montoya is struggling to get the best out of his car but said the team are working closely with the Colombian to rediscover his race-winning form.

"One would have to say that Juan and his engineering team supporting him are not doing as good a job as Ralf and his engineering team supporting him and we have to work out how to put it right," Head told reporters at Silverstone, two weeks ago.

"Somehow Ralf seems to be able to get more out of the car than Juan can now. Juan is frustrated that it isn't happening for him. We're working hard with him to work out why. When we open the right pigeon hole, maybe he will start putting strings of race wins together."

Montoya won only his second Formula One Grand Prix in two years in Monaco this year and currently lies 14 points behind Championship leader Michael Schumacher.
