Trulli tells it like it is

Trulli starts from second place alongside pole man Michael Schumacher for the highest grid start of his career. But having bumped two McLarens and one Ferrari off the front rank he discarded his chances of beating everyone to the chequered flag.

"I don't feel I can win here," he said. "I believe I can be at the top but it is going to be a really tough race for me. I don't feel I can play with the car and really push it so I doubt I can match Michael or McLaren. At least I am at the top so that will make it easier for me to challenge them."

Jordan were working hard overnight to try and improve the car's handling for today's race (Sunday). "If you look at the improvements we have made to the car since Thursday, hopefully I can make the same improvements again. But I am hoping I can get a good result. I was on pole here in Formula 3 so it's a track I enjoy."

Grid positions are vital on a circuit where overtaking is almost impossible and Trulli starts between Schumacher and his two championship rivals: David Coulthard third and Mika Hakkinen directly behind the Scot in fifth place.
