I won't give up F1 until title, says Jordan
Eddie Jordan has ruled out following in the footsteps of Jackie Stewart by retiring from the sport, until he has achieved his Formula 1 dream.
The Irishman launched his team's new challenger on Monday - the car he hopes will help deliver the team's first world championship.
Former three-time world champion Stewart announced he was stepping down as chairman of Jaguar Racing last week.
But, Jordan claims he has no intention of giving up his role as team boss.
The 51-year-old told The Express newspaper: "I don't plan on joining Jackie at Sunningdale Golf Course just yet. I still thrive on the pressure.
"If I retired I would probably be divorced at the same time because I wouldn't be easy to live with.
"I still have a lot of unfinished goals, but I believe I am very close to achieving them.
"I don't know what's going to happen this year, but we intend on consolidating our third place in the constructors' championship from last season.
"We can get second place at least."
Jordan is hopeful that this year's driving pairing of Heinz-Harald Frentzen [who was third in last year's drivers' standings] and Jarno Trulli, will improve the team's fortunes.
