Irvine attacks Coulthard's driving
Eddie Irvine has taken a swipe at David Coulthard, claiming he had to veer off the track to avoid clashing with the McLaren driver during Sunday's race
Irvine was being challenged for second place when he took the evasive action.
The incident cost Irvine second place, but he managed to regain control of the car and hold onto third place to secure four points.
Irvine said, 'His championship is over and with his record of hitting people in races this season, I was concerned about it happening to me - again.
'Don't forget, he banged into me trying to get past in Canada and almost ruined a great race for me.
'Too right I was worried that instead of six points I might end up with none.
'In a way it maybe worked out for the best that I slid out of the way and he went past to take second, leaving me to just settle for third and a safe four points.'
