Jake Hill to race Rob Austin Audi in 2013 BTCC Brands Hatch finale
Jake Hill will replace Will Bratt in the second Rob Austin Racing Audi A4 in the British Touring Car finale at Brands Hatch this weekend
Former Ginetta racer Hill, 19, made his BTCC debut at Croft this year in a Motorbase Ford Focus.
He took an S2000 class win and will now race an NGTC machine for the first time, alongside Austin.
"It's about time I raced again," said Hill, whose A4 will run under the Exocet Racing banner.
"I was always trying to keep my options open for Brands and it happens that Rob was keeping an eye on me.
"When it was clear Will wasn't going to be driving it seemed like a good opportunity."
Bratt is only 19th in the BTCC standings and Hill believes Brands will be a serious challenge.
"I'd like to finish a couple of the races in the top 10," added Hill, who is due to shake the car down today. "I'd be chuffed with that, but I know it will be tough."
No deal has been done for next season, but Hill wants to race in the BTCC.
"This is just a one-off thing," he confirmed to AUTOSPORT. "But I'm definitely looking to do touring cars full time next year."
