Loeb and Sordo enter Cork Rally
Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo will compete in the Cork International Rally at the end of the month to aid their preparations for Rally Ireland
Loeb has already competed in one event in Ireland this year, and Citroen believe that the Donegal rally was so beneficial that they have decided to enter both of their drivers in another event.
"Citroen Sport has decided to enter two cars for the Cork Rally, to build up an even bigger picture of the Irish stages," said Citroen Sport boss Guy Frequelin.
"Sebastien will be able to gain extra experience of these highly specific roads at the wheel of a Citroen C4."
While Loeb will contest the rally in his C4 world rally car, Sordo will compete in a Xsara WRC as Citroen do not have any more C4s available for the weekend of September 28-30.
While Rally Ireland is an asphalt event that should suit Loeb and Citroen, the French squad have been keen to experience the roads, which have a different surface to any other event on the WRC calendar.
Loeb's championship rival Marcus Gronholm has also driven in Ireland this year, when he competed in the Galway rally in February.
