Whincup excluded from race 3
Team Vodafone's Jamie Whincup has been excluded from the results of race three at Eastern Creek
After the race, it was discovered that Whincup's car had incorrect rear brake rotors fitted to the car. The team admitted to the breach of the rules, the stewards deciding to exclude Whincup's car from race three for the breach of the regulations, shuffling everyone up a place in the results.
Third place for the round changed, with Rick Kelly joining older brother Todd on the podium, Holden scoring a 1-2-3 at the round Mark Skaife set a new benchmark for round wins.
There were also changes in the championship standings, with several drivers at the top of the standings gaining a few points (apart from Whincup of course). Points leader Rick Kelly gained 2 points to move to 276 and extended his lead by an extra point to 25 over teammate Garth Tander.
Todd Kelly and Jamie Whincup are now tied on 205 points, while Mark Skaife remains in fifth on 169 points.
