Tander completes triple in race 3
Toll HSV Dealer Team's Garth Tander completed a perfect weekend as he made it three wins from three races at the Bigpond 400 at Barbagallo Raceway
Tander took his third win from pole position for the weekend as he led home another Holden 1-2-3. But the order behind him was different in the final race.
Following a mid-race safety car, brought out when James Courtney's miserable weekend ended after a left front failure sent him hard into the wall, Mark Skaife pressured Rick Kelly, taking second place on lap 35 and then closing on Tander.
He quickly closed on Tander but was unable to find a way past. Meanwhile Kelly was struggling with his car, just managing to keep Steven Johnson behind him to the finish.
A few seconds behind Johnson was a group of cars comprising Mark Winterbottom, Will Davison, Todd Kelly, Craig Lowndes and Steven Richards.
Overall, Garth Tander took the round win from teammate Rick Kelly, with Mark Skaife third.
In the championship, reigning champion Rick Kelly now leads with 115 points by thirteen points from teammate and Barbagallo winner Garth Tander, with HRT's Todd Kelly a further seventeen points back.
Todd's teammate Mark Skaife completes the top four, comprised of the four cars that less than two months ago weren't sure if they would race this season after a protracted dispute over team ownership. Steven Johnson is the best-placed Ford, one point behind Skaife.
