Rudd on top as first test ends

Ricky Rudd set the pace during the final testing session of the week at Daytona on Thursday

Rudd led a Ford one-two with Jamie McMurray's Fusion setting the second fastest time, while 2006 Chase contender Kevin Harvick was the fastest of the Chevrolet runners in third.

The top four positions featured three different manufacturers as the Dodge of Scott Riggs was fourth quickest, while Toyota also had a car in the top 10 with Dave Blaney.

"Toyota's help has elevated our whole team and it's showing," said Blaney. "We are way ahead of the game here in testing compared to where we were last year."

A Toyota was at the bottom of the timesheets as well though, as Brian Vickers' A car set the slowest time of the test.

The former Busch Series champion put in a much stronger performance in his B car though, setting the 12th fastest time.
