Pedrosa fastest in dry warm-up

Dani Pedrosa continued his record of setting the fastest time in every dry session held at Mugello this weekend as he topped the race day morning warm-up

In overcast conditions with only a few damp patches remaining off the racing line, Pedrosa lapped in 1:50.581 in the final few minutes to depose previous pacesetter John Hopkins by just under half a second.

Gresini Honda's Marco Melandri was third, followed by the Pramac D'Antin Ducati of Alex Barros, and Toni Elias on the second Gresini bike.

Polesitter Casey Stoner was seventh quickest, behind Randy de Puniet, with Valentino Rossi eighth and front row starter Chris Vermeulen 11th.
