125cc: Pasini takes provisional pole
Mattia Pasini put himself on course for his seventh pole position of the 2007 season by going fastest in Friday 125cc qualifying at Estoril
Championship leader Gabor Talmacsi took second on the provisional grid, but his title rival Hector Faubel could only manage 17th.
Although Faubel had been in the top six early on, he crashed on his final run and tumbled down the order as others made gains.
Talmacsi led the first half of the session, before Pasini moved to the top in the closing moments. Despite improving on his own time, Talmacsi remained three tenths of a second adrift of Pasini.
Sergio Gadea took third place, ahead of Lukas Pesek, Joan Olive and Pol Espargaro.
