125cc: Pesek takes provisional home pole
Lukas Pesek claimed provisional pole for his home Grand Prix in the first qualifying session for the Czech round of the 125cc series
The local rider had swapped the top spot with championship leader Gabor Talmacsi and Mattia Pasini during the half hour, and in the final moments it looked like Talmacsi had done enough to secure the position.
But then Pesek produced a 2:08.201 with his final lap of the session, allowing him to beat Talmacsi by 0.082 seconds.
Pasini ended up third, ahead of Hector Faubel and Sandro Cortese.
