Tracy 'more focused than ever'
Former Champ Car champion Paul Tracy has said that he is ready to put last season behind him and focus on 2007
The Canadian had a difficult 2006 with Forsythe Racing, but after missing the season finale due to injury he has been working hard to put the struggle behind him.
Tracy said: "I've spent every moment of my off-season training and getting my body ready to go win a championship this year.
"I've been cycling and getting my weight down and I feel as though I'm more focused than ever."
Tracy raced in a handful of NASCAR races last year as well, but after his win-less Champ Car season he has vowed to focus on his open wheel career.
"2006 was exciting with my NASCAR debut and also my five-year contract extension with Forsythe, but unfortunately there was not a lot of success in either venture," he said.
"That made me very frustrated, which is what led to my decision in October to focus on Champ Car, and I'm committed to doing whatever I have to do to give Forsythe another championship."
