Switzerland on Feature race pole

Neel Jani will start Sunday's A1GP Feature race at Zhuhai from pole position for championship leaders Switzerland

The Champ Car driver narrowly beat Great Britain's Oliver Jarvis to the top of the timesheets, as the two cars ran close together on track while setting their best times during the final segment of qualifying.

The late efforts from the top two robbed India of a maiden pole position, as Narain Karthikeyan's best lap held the top spot for several minutes.

France will join India on row two, while Sprint race polesitters Germany could only manage fifth.

Franky Cheng had another strong run at his home race to put the Chinese car sixth on the grid, while USA and Malaysia are in much better shape than they are for the Sprint race, as both will start from row four.

South Africa and New Zealand both improved slightly on their disappointing Sprint race grid positions to make the top 10 this time, while the pace that Ireland have shown all weekend deserted them, leaving Adam Carroll 13th on the grid.
