New Zealand to split driving duties
Team New Zealand's drivers Jonny Reid and Matt Halliday will share the driving duties this weekend at Brands Hatch
Both drivers will compete in one of the hour-long practice sessions before qualifying, after which the team will decide on who qualifies the car, and who competes in which race on Sunday.
New Zealand are relatively safe ahead of Great Britain in the championship going into the season finale, but Reid said that they are still taking it seriously.
"We're not being distracted by sharing the drive," said Reid, who has won three races this season.
"Great Britain will be fired up on their home circuit. We're in a good position, but I've seen funnier things happen in motor racing and we have to stay focused."
Team owner Colin Giltrap said that the decision to split the driving duties was a reward for the efforts of the drivers this season.
"We're a tight-knit team and to have the pair of them involved at the business end of the championship is a fitting reward for their efforts," he said.
"They've both contributed so much to an outstanding season and they're both keen to help ensure we secure the runner-up spot."
Halliday raced for the team the last time A1GP visited Brands Hatch in 2005, when he scored a podium for the team.
