McIntosh set for return
Sean McIntosh will return to racing action for Canada for the first time since taking the nation's only victory in the series last February
After his success in the feature race in Indonesia, McIntosh was subsequently replaced by Patrick Carpentier for the rest of the season, and missed last weekend's season opener at Zandvoort because he was racing at Le Mans in World Series by Renault.
"I can't believe it's been seven months since I actually raced in A1 GP," said McIntosh. "I'm excited to be here and looking forward to running the car in anger on Friday."
Nineteen-year-old James Hinchcliffe is still eligible to take part in the rookie sessions on Friday, as the Zandvoort races were his first two A1GP starts.
After a top 10 finish in the sprint race, the Champ Car Atlantic driver lost out in the changeable weather conditions of the feature race and dropped to 13th.
"Zandvoort was certainly an education but overall we had a competitive car throughout the weekend, it's just unfortunate that due to certain circumstances, chiefly the weather, it's not reflected our final results," he said.
