Jani takes Feature pole as well

Neel Jani has given Team Switzerland the best possible qualifying result by taking pole position for A1GP feature race in Shanghai

Jani was in a class of his own in the third and fourth sessions and ended up 0.5 seconds faster than his nearest challenger, Team USA's Jonathan Summerton. It was the US's first front row start of the season.

Filipe Albuquerque kept up his strong form this weekend to take third on the grid. He'll share row two with Ireland's Adam Carroll after a solid late effort from the winner last time out in Mexico.

Narain Karthikeyan was quick again for Team India to line up fifth, just ahead of Team Malaysia's Alex Yoong.

It was a disappointing result for Team New Zealand and Jonny Reid, who line up seventh, while fellow title challengers Team France start back in 10th after a big improvement by Franck Montagny.

Robbie Kerr will start eighth for Team GB, Adrian Zaugg ninth for Team South Africa, but it was a disaster for Team China and a ragged lap from Franky Cheng means they'll start the feature from 20th on the grid.
