Buemi to replace injured Jani
Sebastien Buemi will return to A1GP action sooner than expected after Neel Jani injured his hand last week
Jani was scheduled to head to Australia for this weekend's race at Eastern Creek after attending last week's Champ Car test at Sebring, but the PKV driver shut his hand in a car door and is unable to compete.
Buemi raced for the Swiss team last time out in New Zealand, and he had already flown back to Europe when he was told he would be racing in Australia.
"I hardly had time to unpack when I received a phone call from our team principal asking if I could return for Eastern Creek," said the F3 Euro Series driver.
"It feels good to know that I'll be driving again, but it is a big responsibility because I have never seen the track before."
Team boss Max Welti added: "I feel really sorry that Neel can't join us as per the original plan, but we have to adapt to unexpected conditions.
"Our goal is to finish races in the points, and we wish Neel a prompt recovery."
