France aim to dominate in Australia
Team France believe that they are now in a position to return to the dominant form they showed in the first season of A1GP
Loic Duval scored a pair of second-place finishes on his series debut in New Zealand behind the German car of Nico Hulkenberg, which moved the French team into second in the standings.
But while Team Germany cannot lose their lead in the championship this weekend, the reigning champions believe that they can repeat the dominant performance that Nicolas Lapierre put in at Eastern Creek last year.
Team France managing director Eric Boullier said: "After our great result in the last race, we're now aiming for a dominant weekend in Australia.
"We have good data about the track from last year when Nicolas won both races for us."
Duval has taken over from Lapierre for the remainder of the A1GP season, and he is optimistic for his second weekend as a race driver.
"I'm excited to be going to Australia in such a strong position, having scored 14 points in my first race weekend," said Duval.
"I've been training hard since the last race, and I hope I can echo our double win in last year's races in Australia."
