Autosport's team of expert journalists got together to try to assess who were the top 50 drivers of 2025. Here are the results.
The New Zealander broke all kinds of records in his rookie Cup campaign, mostly due to his seemingly unbeatable nature at road and street courses. The 2025 NASCAR Cup Rookie of the Year won five of six road/street races, and only Denny Hamlin won more races across the board.
Shane van Gisbergen made the playoffs and ended the year 12th in the standings. He also showed steady improvements as he learned the craft of oval racing, earning his first top-10 near the end of the year. He already has more wins than any other foreign-born driver in NASCAR history.
