Top 50 Drivers of 2025

Autosport's team of expert journalists got together to try to assess who were the top 50 drivers of 2025. Here are the results.

Once Leonardo Fornaroli, the reigning Formula 3 champion, had worked out how to win races, he began a Formula 2 charge that ended with his wrapping up the title at the penultimate round in Qatar.

His victory tally with Invicta Racing finally stood at four and, although three of those were in reversed-grid sprint races, the Italian did claim three pole positions and also topped our unofficial feature race points table by 15.

After a season that seemed rich with talent, some might question whether Fornaroli is the best F1 prospect, but he was the finest F2 2025 exponent and avoided the peaks and troughs of others.
