To round off tonight, remember earlier we mentioned that it was Trois Rivieres weekend as Matthew Brabham clinched the Pro Mazda title there?

Canadian street track Trois Rivieres was of course famous as a Formula/Toyota Atlantic, Can-Am and Trans-Am venue for many decades, and also hosted Grand-Am, American Le Mans and Indy Lights.

But the reason it's most fondly remembered is because it was there in 1976 that Gilles Villeneuve roused the wider motorsport world's interest when he beat a very impressed guesting James Hunt in the Formula Atlantic race. So we're ending our motorsport weekend with a shot of Villeneuve leading the field that day.

ALMS - Road America: A turning point in the LMP2 battle? Guy Cosmo stutters exiting the pits in the Extreme Speed car.

ALMS - Road America: 15 minutes to go, and Graf leads LMP1 for Pickett while Franchitti and Level 5 are heading a tight LMP2 battle.

A fuel-marginal Goossens continues to lead GT, and Bleekemolen is reeling in GTC leader Spencer Pumpelly.

ALMS - Road America: A rapid Bruno Junqueira hits the front in LMPC. Take that, Oriol Servia.

ALMS - Road America: Meyrick, and then Graf, pit from the front of the field. Goossens' lead in GT is now 2.5s; Franchitti's a similar margin in LMP2.

ALMS - Road America: Nunez retakes the LMPC lead after Braun stops for new rubber. Goossens meanwhile has claimed the GT lead.

Some WRC news (sort of): Jari-Matti Latvala gave the Audi Quattro he uses for historic rallying its first win this weekend, triumphing in the Lahti Historic Rally in Finland.

ALMS - Road America: Goossens has reduced Garcia's GT lead to absolutely nothing, bringin Gavin, Holzer and Long with him. 35 minutes remain for those guys to sort themselves out.

ALMS - Road America: Simon Pagenaud has pitted, so poleman Marino Franchitti assumes the lead just over a second clear of Guy Cosmo.

ALMS - Road America: Graf has established a 24s lead now overall and in LMP1, which is about the largest it's been. That means another caution is probably imminent.

ALMS - Road America: Pumpelly and Bleekemolen go wheel-to-wheel for the GTC lead! Tremendous battle and Pumpelly just holds on.

ALMS - Road America: Replays show Pumpelly was very opportunistic in passing both Bleekemolen and Lally as the two got a bit too close for comfort battling for first.

ALMS - Road America: The GTC battle is also rather close. Pumpelly now has a second advantage but Bleekemolen heads a group of four in close proximity.

ALMS - Road America: Franchitti and Cosmo get very, very close for P2 in the LMP2 category. The former hangs on as they work through traffic.

ALMS - Road America: Epic GT battle still headed by the two Corvettes, with Goossens in close proximity. Goossens then passes Gavin into Turn 1 as they both almost get caught up with a faster prototype. Holzer then gets in on the action in the Porsche, but Gavin fights back.

NASCAR - Watkins Glen: Some big moves in the championship after that race.

Forget the top of the standings, where Jimmie Johnson lost a tiny bit of ground over Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards, and look at the Chase cut-off, with two changes in the title contending line-up today.

Jeff Gordon's disaster and Tony Stewart's absence drop them out of the Chase list.

Second place moves Brad Keselowski into the top 10, and third boosts Martin Truex Jr into automatic contention too.

What was Truex's wildcard spot now belongs to Kasey Kahne, who has been pushed outside the top 10 but has two wins to call on.

And with Ryan Newman overtaking his sidelined team boss Stewart, it's the Indianapolis winner who now has the other wildcard.

Kurt Busch is still not in the title shootout despite his consistency, but it's extremely close down there with four rounds until the Chase field is set.

ALMS - Road America: Graf gets Meyrick on the exit of Canada Corner, sending the DeltaWing driver a dummy and shooting past as he runs wide.

ALMS - Road America: A feisty Meyrick holds off Graf for now, while Nunez loses the PC lead to Braun.

ALMS - Road America: Bleekemolen now leads the GTC category as Edwards pits and drops to sixth in class.

The lights are out on the safety car and we're about to go racing again.

ALMS - Road America: An hour to go - who can make it to the end?

ALMS - Road America: In a second, separate incident, PC lead Colin Braun was tipped into a spin at Turn 5 by an as-yet unknown assailant, and rejoined in fifth.

ALMS - Road America: Also, that second caution period worked out wonderfully for Corvette. They are actually first and second in GT now, the #3 car (Garcia) in front of the #4 (Gavin).

ALMS - Road America: Olivier Beretta was actually at the wheel of the Ferrari - and he's now back on track.

ALMS - Road America: This is where stand then after safety car number two and 1hr10m to go.

Andy Meyrick leads LMP1 and is in front overall in the DeltaWing, ahead of Simon Pagenaud in the first of the LMP2 cars.

Tristan Nunez is back at the front of the LMPC field while the hotly-contested GT battle is being won at the moment by Dominik Farnbacher and Marc Goosens in the SRT Viper. Sean Edwards is leading GTC.

ALMS - Road America: Pitstops aplenty now, so we'll bring you the running order once it's shaken out. What we do know is...the DeltaWing leads again.

ALMS - Road America: Sharp out, Cosmo in to sole remaining Extreme Speed LMP2. What this will do is close up the gaps that had developed in GT and GTC nicely.
