ALMS - Road America: Farnbacher pits under the SC, as does Bill Auberlen in the BMW Z4 and Tommy Milner’s Chevrolet. Other GT pitters are John Edwards, Tom Kimber-Smith and Townsend Bell.
Duncan Ende and Jonathan Bennet are the only PC pitters, while GTC trio Cooper MacNeil, Madison Snow and Seth Neiman are also in.

NASCAR - Watkins Glen: Said backs into the tyres at Turn 1 but gets going again, so no yellow.

NASCAR - Watkins Glen: Back to green with 27 laps to go, and Busch fends off a big challenge down the outside from Truex to hold the lead. Keselowski gets Bowyer for third.

ALMS - Road America: The pole-claiming CORE PC car has slipped right down to seventh in class after a disastrous opening 15 minutes.
NASCAR - Watkins Glen: This could be very bad news for Ambrose. Many of the other frontrunners including, crucially Busch, got into the pits just before that yellow was called, so he risks falling behind them when he emerges from the stop he's now making.

ALMS - Road America: Farnbacher replaces Bomarito at the head of the GT pack, as one SRT Viper passes the other. That pair is five seconds clear of Matteo Malucelli's Ferrari.

ALMS - Road America: Braun's pole in the PC class was of particular interest to IndyCar driver Oriol Servia, who was amused by the failed effort of his former Newman/Haas Champ Car team-mate Bruno Junqueira, who qualified second in class:

Trois Rivieres
Some more US racing news during the NASCAR hiatus and while we wait for the ALMS to get going.
IndyCar ladder series Pro Mazda was the headline category at the legendary Trois Rivieres street event in Canada this year with Indy Lights having dropped the venue from its calendar.
Matthew Brabham - son of Geoff, grandson of Sir Jack - won both races to take his tally to a record 11 wins from 14 rounds so far, and in the process claimed the title with two races to spare.

NASCAR - Watkins Glen: No one has really had anything for Ambrose so far today. His crew chief Drew Blickensderfer's most common radio call in the first half of the race was "manage your stuff", and even while managing that stuff, the Australian was pulling away.
During the red flag period, Ambrose's main rival Kyle Busch has been pondering how to get on terms with the Richard Petty Ford, which he reckons has been "just driving away from me" so far...

ALMS - Road America: Speaking of Grand-Am, that race was won by the Starworks duo of Brendon Hartley and Scott Mayer - a first series victory for either driver. Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi's Corvette DP was second ahead of the sister car of Brian and Burt Frisselle.
NASCAR - Watkins Glen: Marshals are still sweeping and mopping up on the exit of the Esses after the Fellows/Kvapil/Drissi/Gonzalez shunt.

ALMS - Road America: We're edging closer to the start of the second half of American action. And the American Le Mans Series is not the only championship gracing Elkhart Lake this weekend.
Ahead of the ALMS/Grand-Am merger for next season, examples from both series were gathered on the start line for a bit of a United SportsCar Racing promo shot. It's not a bad line-up, is it?
