Zuber struggles to accept bad luck
Andreas Zuber has admitted that he is finding it difficult to put up with his misfortune in GP2 this season while his teammate leads the championship
The iSport driver has suffered gearbox problems at the start of races on the past two race weekends, while Timo Glock has taken a 16-point lead in the standings after just five races.
Zuber had qualified third at Monaco last weekend, but he did not even make it to the first corner during the race on Saturday.
"It's definitely really tough to be leading the team championship on 43 points with a teammate leading the drivers' championship and for me to have another car problem," said Zuber.
"It is high time that we understand what is happening at the start of a race. A gearbox problem spoilt my race just like in Barcelona, I just could not get into gear and I remained on the grid."
The GP2 teams have a few weeks before their next race while Formula One heads to North America, and Zuber is hoping that his team can solve the problems at the upcoming Paul Ricard test.
"It's a shame to have missed the opportunity of a good result," he said. "We need to understand why the gearbox has let us down on another occasion.
"I hope that the upcoming tests in Paul Ricard will allow the team to solve the problem for the next race at Magny-Cours."
Zuber is currently 10th in the GP2 standings, and he has not scored a point since the first race of the season in Bahrain.
