Valles to race for FMS in 2008
Adrian Valles will return to GP2 with Fisichella Motor Sport in 2008 after a year away from the series
The Spaniard, who was a test driver for the Spyker F1 team this year, believes that he needs to get back into a race seat if he wants to progress his career.
"I had a good connection with FMS in testing at Paul Ricard and I'm really happy that they wanted me to drive for them," said the 21-year-old.
"It's been good testing the F1 car for Spyker this year, but it's still important to keep racing and winning races.
"I think it's a great opportunity to return to GP2 and aim for the championship. If I can win it, it would be the best way to consolidate my F1 career."
Valles took one podium finish during his 2006 campaign, and that came at the season opener at Valencia. He only scored one more point through the rest of the season with Campos Racing, but in 2005 he was runner up in World Series by Renault to Robert Kubica.
Team boss Paolo Coloni added: "I followed Adrian's performance in other series with interest and was very impressed when we had the opportunity to test him at Paul Ricard.
"He was very fast, consistent, and gave very good technical feedback. The team immediately established a good relationship with him, and I'm sure he is going to be a very strong competitor."
