Maldonado sets pace on third day
Pastor Maldonado set the fastest time on the third day of GP2 testing at Paul Ricard on Thursday
The Venezuelan has impressed throughout the test so far, which has marked his return to the GP2 cockpit after he broke his collarbone towards the end of the season.
Behind Maldonado's ART car, Andreas Zuber was strong again with his third team in as many days, as he set the fastest time in the morning session for FMS International.
Former Super Nova teammates Mike Conway and Luca Filippi were next up with Minardi Piquet Sports and Racing Engineering respectively, while Ben Hanley was the top rookie in the second Minardi Piquet Sports car, on his first full day at the test.
Borja Garcia was next up in the lead car from 2007 champions iSport, while Vitaly Petrov was seventh overall for Campos Grand Prix.
The second Campos car attracted plenty of attention in the afternoon session, as Simona de Silvestro became the first female to take part in an official GP2 session.
The 19-year-old Italian was 1.5 seconds slower than Petrov, which put her 22nd in the afternoon session.
