Senna leads Double R 1-2-3
Double R Racing scored their first 1-2-3 result when Bruno Senna led home Mike Conway and Stephen Jelley in the first British F3 race at Mondello Park this morning
It was an uneventful race, with Conway jumping past second-place starter Jelley after a good start. Although the British points leader stayed close to Senna throughout, a move never looked on at the tight Irish circuit.
"I know how hard it is to overtake here, and I used that to my advantage," said Senna. "The only time it was close was on the last lap when we had just passed a backmarker and I had dirt all over my tyres. I think today was a good effort."
Jelley held off Oliver Jarvis (Carlin Motorsport) for third place, with Jarvis' team-mate Maro Engel remaining fifth throughout.
Carlin's third driver Christian Bakkerud was sixth on every lap except the last, when Yelmer Buurman's pressure boiled over into an incident and the Dutchman got the place despite some car damage.
