Double R dominate first qualifying

Double R Racing look to have slayed their Mondello Park demons by taking the front three spots in first British F3 qualifying today

The British team struggled at the Irish circuit last year but seem to have solved all their Mondello troubles after Bruno Senna, Stephen Jelley and championship leader Mike Conway took first, second and third respectively.

The session was wet, drying, and then wet again, but almost all drivers opted for wet tyres. It was also punctuated by one red flag when Rodolfo Avila went off the road.

Carlin Motorsport took the next three spots on the grid, with Oliver Jarvis heading Christian Bakkerud and Maro Engel.

T-Sport driver Rodolfo Gonzalez set the fastest time in national class.
