Retera leaves T-Sport
Dutch driver Dennis Retera has left the T-Sport team ahead of this weekend's British Formula Three races at Mondello Park
"The chemistry between team and driver is missing," said a statement from Retera's backers, the CHART Foundation.
"The results aren't what we expected, and most likely won't become any better in the near future."
Retera will race a Reiter Lamborghini in the FIA GT Championship for the remainder of 2006 while looking for new F3 opportunities for the future.
The Dutchman graduated to F3 from Formula Ford this season, but struggled in the early races, with a fifth place in the wet at Donington Park his only points finish so far.
T-Sport will run one car for National Class leader Rodolfo Gonzalez this weekend but will announce a replacement for Retera in due course.
"It's an unfortunate situation with the CHART Foundation and Dennis Retera but we sincerely wish them all the best for the future," said T-Sport boss Russell Eacott.
"We will continue to move forward and return to pursuing podiums and fastest laps as we did with Ryan Lewis last year."
